2. Why do we collect personal information?

When you visit the Corporate GIS Consultants web site to respond to the annual GIS / Spatial Best Practice Surveys, Corporate GIS Consultants collects personal information in order to facilitate the Quality Assurance (QA) process and to verify responses to the survey. The QA process involves analysis of the responses submitted to the survey which may involve staff from Corporate GIS Consultants contacting you (by phone or email) personally to verify some of your responses to specific questions and/or to ensure that your response does not duplicate all or part of a response from another person. Following this process, your details are retained until the next year should you contribute the following year.

We collect personally identifiable information that is specific and volunteered by respondents to Corporate GIS Consultants web site surveys. This information may include your name, title, company, address, contact telephone number and email address. We may also request other information about your job role as part of the survey process.
